SAFE FOOD APP – location data and SAFE FOOD app’s use and handling of
location data

Location Information:
We collect and process location information when you register and use the Services as a driver/courier – a special user role, relevant just for own employees/service providers. Once the special role Driver / Courier is not using the Safe Food App, we do not track the location of her/his device, but in order to provide the essential services of the Safe Food App, we need to track the location of
the device while using the Safe Food App for mileage purposes.
If you want to stop tracking your device’s location, you can do so at any time by adjusting your device’s settings.

Information on the processing of personal data of data subjects pursuant to §19 and §20 of Act No.18/2018Z.z. on the protection of personal data and on amending and supplementing certain acts (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) and Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter referred to as “the Regulation”).The purpose of this information is to provide you with information on what personal data we process, how we handle it, for what purposes we use it, to whom we may disclose it, where you can obtain information about your personal data and exercise your rights in the processing of your personal data. Purpose of processing of personal data and legal basis for processing The purpose of processing of personal data is: providing information to individuals within the Safe Food project Personal data are processed on the basis of: voluntary consent of the data subject pursuant to §13 (1) (a) of the Act and Article 6 (1) (a) of the Regulation. Legitimate interests of the controller or of a third party Processing of personal data for the purpose of the legitimate interests of the controller or of a third party is not carried out. Identification of the personal data of the data subjects being processed The data subjects about whom the personal data are processed are: natural persons to whom information is provided in the framework of the Safe Food project. Scope of personal data processed: name, surname, email address Identification of recipients, categories of recipients The controller may provide personal data to authorised entities such as institutions and organisations whose processing is permitted by a specific legal regulation or to contractors (in particular processors) who have contractually committed themselves to take appropriate safeguards for the protection of the personal data being processed, as follows: Other authorised entity generally binding legal regulation in accordance with Art. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data and on Amendments and Additions to Certain Acts Contractual partner (on the basis of a contract) § 34 of Act No.18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data and on Amendments and Additions to Certain Acts With the consent of the data subject or on his/her order, personal data may be disclosed to other recipients.3. Transfer of personal data to a third country / international organisation Transfer to third countries or international organisations is not carried out. 4. Identification of the source from which the personal data were obtained Directly from the data subject or his/her legal representative (via the website of the controller). 5. Period of storage of personal data The controller processes personal data for the duration of the Safe Food project (until 2024). 6. Profiling The controller does not process personal data by profiling or in a similar way based on automated individual decision-making. 7. Rights of the data subject The data subject has the right to request from the controller access to the personal data processed about him or her, the right to rectification of personal data, the right to erasure or restriction of the processing of personal data, the right to object to the processing of personal data, the right to the ineffectiveness of automated individual decision-making, including profiling, the right to the portability of personal data, as well as the right to submit a petition to the supervisory authority. Where the controller processes personal data on the basis of the data subject’s consent, the data subject shall have the right to withdraw his or her consent to the processing of personal data at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of the processing of personal data based on consent prior to its withdrawal. The data subject may exercise the rights by sending an e-mail to gdpr@mysafefood.eu or by writing to the controller. 8. Obligation to provide personal data The data subject provides his/her personal data voluntarily, on the basis of consent (provision is not a legal/contractual requirement), in case of non-provision, the controller will not provide the data subject with information.
